Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH), represented by the Chairman of FORTH's BoD, Prof. Vassilis Charmandaris and Dr. George Tzagkarakis, Researcher in the ICS-FORTH, participated in a key technical meeting at the Region of Crete with the Norwegian company DigiFarm.
The focus of the meeting was on early detection of climate change impacts on olive trees, identified through leaf color changes using innovative satellite systems.
The team presented its expertise, including advanced tools developed and continuously improved by the Signal Processing Laboratory. Practical solutions were also explored for addressing this challenge and other similar regional issues.
Special thanks to the REGION OF CRETE for organizing this important meeting and extending the invitation.
This initiative aligns with the goals of the TITAN project, which focuses on Earth Observation, space imagery, and satellite information, bridging Computer Science and Astrophysics at FORTH. Through TITAN, we advance research excellence by leveraging innovative satellite data analysis and Earth observation techniques.
