Short bio:
commenced her academic journey in 2006 at the Department of Political Science, University of Crete in Rethymno, where she pursued her studies until November 2010. Following this, in April 2011, after successfully passing her exams, she enrolled in the Master Program "Public Health & Healthcare Management" at the Department of Medicine, University of Crete, completing it in April 2013. Additionally, Maria attained her pedagogical competence as a teacher upon graduating from the Higher Pedagogical & Technological Education (ASPETE) in June. Her professional trajectory commenced with an internship at the labor union ADEDY - "Social Multicenter" in Athens during the summer of 2010. From the summer of 2012 until November 2016, she worked at the International Patient section of the private clinic Creta Inter Clinic in Heraklion, Crete, primarily focusing on administrative tasks. Subsequently, Maria joined the Laboratory of Vision & Optics (VEIC) at the University of Crete, collaborating with Prof. Ioannis Pallikaris in the field of Ophthalmology. Since September 2022, she has been employed at the Institute of Informatics, FORTH, working in the administrative realm of SPL-TNL Labs.
