We’re happy to share a recent activity from the TwinODIS project.Prof.
Rommert Dekker (ESE, Erasmus University Rotterdam) visited ICS-FORTH between 8 - 12 November. Apart from the highly fruitful discussions with the members of ICS, Rommert also gave an interesting talk about “AI-driven Terminals Planning“.In his presentation, Prof. Dekker showed how AI can support terminal planning in ports and logistics, including:
- better vessel and resource scheduling
- real-time planning decisions
- improved crane and cargo handling operations
shorter turnaround times and more efficient terminal management
This visit and talk were part of the staff exchange activities between TwinODIS partners, helping us strengthen collaboration and share knowledge across the project.
