    Prof. Kostas Magoutis is Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department, University of Crete and collaborating researcher at the Institute of Computer Science (ICS), Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH). Before joining FORTH, he was a tenured Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Ioannina (2014-19), he held the position of Research Staff Member with the Department of Services Technologies at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, in Hawthorne, NY since 2003, and taught at Columbia University NY (2004).. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Harvard University (2003) and is a recipient of J. William Fulbright (1993), Alexander S. Onassis (1994), and EU Marie Curie (2009) Fellowships.
