Victor Bonjean
Postdoctoral Researcher
Victor Bonjean is a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Astrophysics (IA) and Institute of Computer Science (ICS) at the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH). He obtained his ph.D. from the Observatoire de Paris and the Institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale in 2019 with Nabila Aghanim and Philippe Salomé, his M.Sc. in Astrophysics in 2016 from the Observatoire de Paris, and his B.Sc. in Physics in 2014 from the University of Bordeaux. His main research interests are on the properties of both diffuse hot gas and galaxies inside large scale structures of the Universe, like galaxy clusters and filaments. He analyses to this aim large galaxy surveys in optical and infrared, and the Sunyaev-Zel'Dovich effect to analyse hot gas from CMB data. He explores the problem of component separation in CMB data using UNet in Planck maps and to prepare Simons Observatory.
